Called to Word, Service, Compassion and Justice, she served 30 years as a clinical social worker, (8 years in the Army National Guard) and 19 years as a Spiritual Director
Pastor Freddie has had a long hard road, which included addiction, divorce, and abuse that led to recovery, and finally the road to ministry was opened to her. |
Our compassionate listener, Laura Ida, will be available at both our Zoom and in-person Mission u (she will also be bringing Cokesbury books for to sell at our in-person Mission u).

Reading Program and Mission u 2025
This year Mission u has recommended three books from the Reading Program specifically to enhance your engagement with the 2025 Mission u theme of “Practicing Hope Together”. The books are “Hope in Disarray: Piecing Our Lives Together in Faith” by Grace Ji-Sun Kim, “The Light We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times” by Michelle Obama and “Living Resistance: An Indigenous Vision for Seeking Wholeness Every Day” by Kaitlin B. YoMiCa (short for Youth Missions Camp) is a week filled with the classic camp experience! Make new friends while you swim, play evening games, and be part of the long-standing traditions of YoMiCa! Learn about missionaries and the difference they are making in countries and communities around the globe!
