Our Zoom Mission u will be led by Pastor Jenny Arneson
Rev. Jenny Arneson has been the appointed Lead Pastor of the Sun Prairie United Methodist Church since July of 2015. Jenny’s first pastoral appointment was to the River Falls UMC, where she served eight years. She also served as senior pastor of the Onalaska UMC for eight years. Before her call to ministry, Jenny served as head women’s cross country and track & field coach and Assistant Sports Information Director at UW-Eau Claire. Jenny currently serves as co-chair of the Wisconsin General and Jurisdictional Conference Delegation. She was an alternate delegate to General Conference in 2012, 2016 and 2019. She is also a clergy member of the North Central Jurisdictional Episcopacy Committee and the Northern Illinois/Wisconsin Episcopacy Committee. In addition, Jenny serves on the General Conference on Finance & Administration (GCFA) Committee on Personnel Policies and served for 10 years as the chair of the Wisconsin Conference Personnel Committee. She earned her Masters of Divinity degree from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary in 1999, her Masters in Administration from the University of Iowa in 1990 and her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from UW-Eau Claire in 1984. One of the joys of serving as Lead Pastor on the staff of SPUMC is sharing in ministry to lead others to know God’s love and grace in their lives. Also in the spirit of John Wesley, our founder of Methodism, Jenny loves sharing ministry to do all the good we can, by all the means we can, in all the ways we can, in all the places we can, at all the times we can, to all the people we can, as long as ever we can. |

Adult Curriculum: A Deep Knowing: Experiencing Emmanuel Through Every Part of Our Lives
This curriculum is designed to help participants take a step back and a closer look at the various ways we see Emmanuel within and around biblical stories. What can it look like to walk with God as people who face adversity, issues of justice, and a heritage of relational and spiritual connections? This curriculum encourages participants to seek out and name the experiences of Emmanuel from biblical times to our present day as we look toward our future in faith. Reading Program and Mission u 2026
This year Mission u has recommended four books from the Reading Program specifically to enhance your engagement with the 2026 Mission u theme of “Experiencing Emmanuel”. The books are “Don’t Follow Your Heart: Boldly Breaking the Ten Commandments of Self-Worship” by Thaddeus J. Williams, “Our Unforming: De-Westernizing Spiritual Formation” by Cindy Lee, “A Faith of Many Rooms: Inhabiting a More Spacious Christianity” by Debie Thomas and “Freeing Jesus: Rediscovering Jesus as Friend, Teacher, Savior, Lord, Way and Presence” by Diana Butler Bass.
If you have been missing our mission studies from the past, you are in luck. Glory Dharmaraj has written a book to celebrate 125 years of our mission study texts. Read “Keyhole Missiology” to learn the history of our studies and celebrate our long commitment to transformative mission education.
YoMiCa will NOT be offered in 2026
We have had to cancel Youth Mission Camp (YoMiCa) at Pine Lake for the last two years due to low enrollment. This camp will not be offered in 2026. We thank all who have supported this camp over the years.
